NPF LP asks party prez to convene emergency meet on CAB voting

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): The NPF Legislature Party (LP) today resolved to request the party president to convene an Emergency CEC meeting on the stand taken by NPF Members of Parliament on the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

This was resolved during the NPF Legislature Party meeting held on December 12 at the residence of NPF-LP Leader, TR Zeliang.

It further resolved to challenge the inaction of the Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly on the disqualification petition filed against 7 dissident NPF MLAs in the court of law.

The NPF LP meanwhile appreciated the Government of Nagaland for extending promulgation of ILP to Dimapur District as it has been the demand of the NPF.
