Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): The Minority Wing of the Naga Peoples Front (NPF) Central on March 18 reaffirmed its support to party president and Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, while adopting key resolutions including a statewide outreach initiative.
At a consultative meeting held in Dimapur, attended by representatives from Dimapur and Chümoukedima divisions and various assembly constituency units, the house resolved to undertake an extensive outreach tour across minority-populated areas.
The areas included Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Kohima, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Peren districts to strengthen grassroots presence and community engagement, informed a press release from Roshan BK, General Secretary of the NPF Minority Wing Central.
The members also resolved to work in close coordination with the party leadership to further strengthen the organisation at all levels, while committing to function in synergy with other frontal organisations and adhere to party directives and constitutional principles.
Addressing the gathering, Working President Pusazo Luruo reflected on the party’s journey and stressed unity, discipline and adherence to party principles.
NR Zeliang reaffirmed the central leadership’s support and emphasised the party’s commitment to inclusivity, equality and mutual respect.
President of the Minority Wing Central, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, highlighted the vision, structure and functioning of the wing, while appreciating members for their active participation and contributions.
Other speakers included Mahesh Agarwal, Apun Naben, Raju Pradhan and Mukesh Kumar, who spoke on organisational activities and strengthening party outreach.
