Mon, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): The NPF, Mon Division, has expressed support for the resolution adopted by the party’s Central Executive Council (CEC) on September 6, which extended a formal invitation to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and former members to return to the party fold.
In a statement issued by its general secretary H A Hongnao Konyak, the division said the move was in the larger interest of the Naga people and aimed at uniting communities across Northeast India and beyond with a vision to safeguard rights and rebuild the spirit of regionalism.
The Mon Division also appealed to regional-minded leaders and workers in Mon district to reconsider their association with other political parties and join the NPF as a common regional platform.
