NPF orientation prog for party leaders, legislators on Feb 23

Kohima, February 20 (MExN): Naga People’s Front (NPF) will organise an orientation programme for its party leaders and legislators on February 23, at the party’s Central Office.

The programme, themed “Insights on Government Departmental Activities and Constructive Role of Party Leaders,” is aimed at enhancing the understanding of government functioning and strengthening the role of party leaders in supporting developmental initiatives across the state.

According to the party, the orientation programme will be conducted in two sessions, bringing together advisors and ministers handling key departments of the government.

The first session will feature presentations by Hekani Jakhalu Kense, Advisor for Industries and Commerce; Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, Advisor for New and Renewable Energy (NRE) and the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA); Wangpang Konyak, Advisor for Social Welfare; Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor for Water Resources; and Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and SCERT.

The second session will include addresses by G Kaito Aye, Minister for Roads and Bridges; KG Kenye, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs; and CL John, Minister for Forest and Environment.

The introductory note will be delivered by Achumbemo Kikon, MLA and Secretary General of the NPF. The programme will be moderated by Merentoshi R Jamir, Vice President of the party, while the proceedings will be recorded by Atou Liezietsu, Press Secretary.
