Naga People’s Front (NPF) Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon, MLA, on Wednesday said the party will hold a Central Office Bearers meeting on September 18 at 11:00 AM at the NPF Conference Hall, Kohima. Speaking to the media, Kikon said the meeting will decide the date and venue for the party’s General Convention. He also expressed satisfaction over the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) welcoming the offer extended by NPF.
On the upcoming NDPP General Convention scheduled for October 18, Kikon said, “We are hoping for a positive outcome.” The NDPP, in a notification dated September 15, stated that its General Convention was called following the Central Executive Board meeting on September 12, where it was decided to deliberate on the offer made by the NPF.
