NPF’s sanitary project bring cheers to villagers

Thüvopisü village | March 7 : In a welcome step to maintain proper sanitation within the village and also to help respite the travelers passing through the village, the Naga People Front (NPF) Thüvopisü village Unit of 19th Phek Assembly Constituency has completed the construction of the community toilet shed and the same was formally inaugurated by Vezoto (Jack) Dozo, senior PS to minister for health &family welfare at a function held on March 5.
Thüvopisü village lies 29 km from Phek district headquarters and around 70 kms away from state capital Kohima. The two toilet shed was constructed under Local Area Development Programme 2010-11.
Speaking on the occasion, Dozo maintained that the toilet shed was coined as rest room to give relief to travelers passing through the village and the villagers in general to create awareness on the correct use usage of sanitary system in this modern society. He was hopeful that through such facility, a healthy environment will be emerged. Dozo called upon the villagers to make the best use of the provided facility and own it as a common property.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Sekuo, chairman NPF, Thuvopisu Village unit while Sanulhu, youth director said invocation prayer. The function concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Johi, vice president, NPF, 19th Phek A/C. Razuvolie Dozo, SDO ( C ) Phek, Er. Vekerhe Venyo, SDO (Tourism) and Tsibu Khesoh, vice president Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union and several others present on the occasion.
