Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): Naga Peoples’ Organization (NPO) the apex Naga body of Senapati district Manipur consisting of five Naga tribes expressed deep sadness over the sudden demise of NSCN IM vice –president general (Retd) Kholi Konyak.
The NPO lauded the genuine efforts of the late revolutionary leader who has sacrificed his entire life for the cause of Naga issue till his last breath.
The organization stated that general Kholi was among the few chosen leaders who has dedicated his life and fought for the cause of Naga issue was indeed a true visionary leader, God fearing, peace maker who promoted unity among the Nagas and other communities. In the press statement issued by Secretary NPO Ch. Parang, the NPO said Nagas have lost a tall leader whose contribution and struggle for the Nagas will be remembered in golden letters. NPO conveyed its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
