NSBSG approves state bye laws & 2021-2022 budget

The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides (NSBSG) approved the state bye laws and budget for the year 2021-22 during the state council meeting here on Friday.

NSBSG State Chief Commissioner Atuo Mezhür Sekhose informed that the state bye laws have been approved and the same will be sent to national headquarters for information and necessary action.

Referring to the growth of the organization in the state, Sekhose said the national level target growth rate at 10 percent every year could not materialize in the state in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the growth of Bharat Scouts & Guides organization can come only from the educational institutions and because of the lockdown and school closures, exercises pertaining to growth of the organization could not be carried out. But virtually, NSBSG has conducted various activities in line with the regional and national HQs programmes, he added.

Scouts, Guides to receive Rajya Puraskar award soon

In the North East region, after Assam, Nagaland stands No 2 in Bharat Scout and Guides affairs, Sekhose said.

Very soon, 25 each of Scouts and Guides from Nagaland will be receiving Rajya Puraskar Award from Nagaland’s Governor, he said.

The state council meeting also reviewed and passed 2020 state council meeting minutes as well as 2021 state executive meeting minutes. It also discussed online youth membership system.

The meeting witnessed presentation of honorable charge to State Training Commissioner (Scout) R Albert Solo for successfully completing the Leader Trainer course, which is the highest training for an adult leader.

Pre ALT (Assistant Leader Trainer) qualifying certificates were also presented to Rover Scout Leaders Kekhrieselhou Theunuo and Khriesanyu Pienyu, and Scout Master Joshua Aier. Vote of thanks was proposed by John Tochimong, state organizing commissioner (Scout).

•    Best District Professional scout wing-T  Zuchanthung Assistant District Organiser (Scout)Wokha
•    Best District professional Guide Wing-Bichano Shitiri, District Organizing Commissioner (Guide)
