Hebron, September 15, (MExN): NSCN (IM) has condemned the arrest of Keisang Kamei by the 23rd Assam Rifles personnel at Sibilong village on September 13 at 7:00 am. It also condemned “the subsequent handing over of the individual to the Imphal based Manipur Police as reported in the newspapers on September 14.”
A condemnation note issued by its MIP clarified that “the arrested individual was not a member of the NSCN (IM) and not related to the NSCN (IM) in any manner.” “The Indian Security forces should randomly not arrest and harass civilians on mere suspicion, in order to have peace and understanding among all the sections of people,” it added.
