Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has grieved the demise of Major Isaac Zhimomi, of the General Headquarters on August 24. Zhimomi hailed from Vihokhu village under the Union Territory and had enrolled in the Naga national service on October 26, 1998. MIP, NSCN (IM) in a condolence message stated that Zhimomi “served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise.” The Longvibu of the Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on August 24 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation, the MIPO informed. It also conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
