Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has issued an ‘‘warrant of arrest’ one of its senior members, Hekugha Chophy, holding the rank of Deputy Kilonser, over alleged sexual offences.
According to a directive issued by the Ministry of Kilo Affairs of the NSCN (IM), the Caretakers and CAOs of the Angami, Chakhesang, Sumi, and UT regions have been instructed to implement the arrest warrant dated September 26, 2025, in coordination with the Naga Army.
The directive further stated that the accused must be produced before the Ministry within one week of the correspondence. No additional details regarding the offences were provided.
The Ministry also appealed to the public and other Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) not to provide shelter to the accused, stating that his “misdeeds have no place in a civilised society.” It further cautioned that any individual or NNPG found sheltering him would face “heavy liabilities” and asserted that the Ministry would “leave no stone unturned” in ensuring justice for the victim.
