Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Colonel Somaya Zingkhai, MSM of General Headquarter, Naga Army from Hoomi village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) on June 27. He enrolled in the Naga national service on May 5, 1991.
In recognition of his service to the Naga Nation Colonel Somaya Zingkhai was bestowed the rank of Brigadier posthumously, stated a press release from the NSCN (IM).
It mourned the demise of Captain Yentsao Ovung of Thungbo Brigade, Naga Army from Lotsu village under Lotha Region on June 27. He enrolled in the Naga national service on August 9, 1999.
In recognition of his service to the Naga Nation Captain Yentsao Ovung was bestowed the rank of Major posthumously, the release added.
NSCN (IM) also mourned the demise of RM Lorhu Terhuja, Tatar from Tsu-uma village under UT on June 27. He was inducted as Tatar on December 18, 2017.
“NSCN is proud of the service rendered by them. The void created by their demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in. For their selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, their names shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and their sacrifices for the Naga nation shall be cherished by all,” it stated.
The NSCN (IM) has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
