Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Captain Gaichamdin Gonmei, army no GH-16514 of Jadonang Brigade, Naga Army, who passed away on June 30.
Late Gonmei hailed from Duithanjang village under Zeilad Region and enrolled in the Naga national service in 2004, the NSCN (IM) MIP stated in a condolence message.
Stating that late Gonmei served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise, the MIP informed that the Longvibu of the Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Major on June 30, in recognition of his service.
The NSCN (IM) conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed to rest in peace.
