Dimapur, January 7 (MExN): The “NSCN-IM government” today assured “severest course of action” against one of its cadres accused in the murder of a person on December 16. A note from the ‘Angami region’ of NSCN/GPRN has warned all its cadres against involving in “such activities lest they would face severe consequences.” The ‘Angami region NSCN-IM’ referred to the murder of one Kevireizetuo Yhome of Kohima Village by one of its cadre Rokuodi and two others in connivance with the victim’s mother herself on December 16, 2011.
“The Angami Region NSCN-IM also warns all our cadres not to involve themselves in such activities lest they would face severe consequences. The NSCN-IM accepts that the main accused Rokuodi has been serving with our establishment in the capacity of Razou Peyu but the two other accused involved in the case are not known to our Government and they do not have any involvement with us,” the note issued by “deputy kilonser” Dr. P Mor and “CAO” Zhavotuo stated.
“This is to clarify that the NSCN-IM Government or the Angami Region does not have any involvement in the murder of Late Kevireizetuo Yhome and that we condemn it in the strongest point. The NSCN-IM also assures that we will take severest course of action against Rokuodi for involving in such brutal murder even if he comes out of the police custody,” the statement said. It further added that “The NSCN-IM Government has also terminated the service of Rokuodi for his unlawful activities against the wishes of the Government.”
