NSCN (K) demands clarification on IRB raid

Dimapur | May 3

The NSCN (K) has questioned the reported early dawn raid on the residence of its Ceasefire Supervisory Secretary by IRB personnel in Dimapur on Thursday.

According to NSCN (K) sources, personnel of the IRB outpost at Purana Bazar raided the house of NSCN (K) CFSB secretary, Khekahoto, near SBAK mission building, Thursday around 2.30am without any rhyme or reason.

The sources said that while Khekahoto is presently in Delhi as witness to the signing of the ceasefire extension between the NSCN (K) and Government of India on Thursday, the IRB personnel had intruded into his house during his absence when only his wife and children were present.

“The action of the IRB has caused immense trauma to the wife and children who are innocent. Moreover, the search has yielded nothing. We therefore want clarification from the IRB as to under whose order and direction they have raided the house?” NSCN (K) said.

The NSCN (K) has asked the IRB authority to immediately clarify on their action to prevent matters going from bad to worse.
