Dimapur, December 22 (MExN): The NSCN-K led by President Lieut Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak and Ato Kilonser Hokato Vusshe extended Christmas and New Year greetings to the Naga people on Monday.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the group said the festive season serves as a reminder of “the strength of compassion, solidarity, and the belief that light can overcome darkness.” The message described Christmas as a symbol of renewal and a chance to reaffirm commitment to “justice, equality, and the dignity of the people.”
Looking ahead to the New Year, the group called for unity, urging Nagas to step into it “not as spectators but as makers of history, convinced that the long overdue Naga political issue is not only necessary but possible.”
The statement concluded with wishes for peace and joy, asserting a collective move forward “steadfast, compassionate, and unwavering in our cause.”
