MIP NSCN (K) has refuted the news reports and has termed it as totally false and fabricated adding that it had nothing to do with the ZUF. The outfit instead blamed the NSCN (I-M) cadres for firing upon its cadres in the wee hours Tuesday last between 1a.m. to 2 a.m. at Haochong village in Tamenglong district where three cadres captain Aimpou alias Ainson, son of Nangjin, private Lunhchui son of Kaigonpou and private Ezekiel son of Thiuthai were gunned down during the pre-dawn attack by the NSCN (IM).

Reiterating that its people’s army formation in the area were undergoing structural changes and that hectic preparation was on to launch a new combined formation i.e. mobile six when heavily armed cadres of NSCN (IM) made the surprise attack. A joint statement by the NSCN (K) and ZUF has already been issued and published in all media publications in Manipur condemning the NSCN (IM) attack, the MIP added.

While denying its association with ZUF, NSCN (K) said that the reports of fraternization with any group/faction were completely untrue. It has condemned the killing of its cadres and further urged various Naga underground groups in the area to maintain peaceful atmosphere.

MIP NSCN (K) further reiterated its Kilonser Wangtin Nagas stand that ZUF was not for Naga sovereignty and that it was just a group of people whose issue or agenda were not known by the outfit and therefore the NSCN (K) cannot be part of this group of people and whose issue or agenda is not known.

Meanwhile NSCN (K) MIP Secretary Sangso Mongzar Naga has once informed all the media houses to contact him or the concerned Kilonser for any issues or incidents related to the NSCN (K) so as to avoid mistrust and confusion out of false, wrong, contradictory statements from different sources.
