NSCN (K) wants NMAP to clarify

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 4 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang in a press note issued by its MIP has asked the New Market Area Panchayat (NMAP) to clarify on its resolution no.2 adopted in the wake of “Khehoi camp massacre of NSCN/GPRN cadres” at New Market area Kohima on August 3, 2012. “The NMAP has, by its resolution no.2, implied the slain NSCN cadres as anti-social elements taking harbour in the colony. The NMAP authority is therefore implored upon to justify its resolution and explain the activities of the deceased in and around the colony for which they have been branded anti-socials”, the press note stated. The MIP note stated that it needs to be clarified that the victims were “unarmed, harmless and were only visiting family members and on medical leave when misfortune befell them”.

NMAP corrects
Meanwhile, the New Market Area Panchayat (NMAP) has corrected the inadvertent use of the word “anti-social element”, in the resolution No-2 adopted at the emergency meeting on 3rd August. Inconvenience cause is deeply regretted, stated a press note from Dr. Kepelhousie Terhiija, Chairman, NMAP and Akro-o Nyusou, General Secretary NMAP.
