Dimapur, January 3 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur district Husheli Sema is accused of “fund diversion” by the NSCN-Khaplang group. A note from the ‘MIP’ of the group received here claimed that the DC is in “connivance with Kehoi campers.”
The note alleged “arbitrary act of injustice committed by Smti. Hushili Sema IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur against the NSCN/GPRN.” The NSCN-Khaplang said a ‘relief fund’ sanctioned and “released to the NSCN/GPRN as against the demolition of NSCN/GPRN Vihokhu camp in the year 2008, through Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur has been usurped by the DC, Dimapur herself in connivance with Khehoi campers.”
“After exacting hefty percentage for herself,” the NSCN claimed, “the remaining grant were then handed over to the Khehoi camp through her younger brother Tokishe Achumi, Joint. Secretary (Finance), Khehoi camp.”
There is no doubt or confusion as to the intended beneficiary of the relief grant, since the demolished camp (Vihokhu) has been functioning under the purview of NSCN/GPRN headed by SS Khaplang. The ‘MIP’ note asserted that the NSCN/GPRN has “apprised” the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur “ahead of disbursement of grant” on several occasions.
“However, without paying heed to the NSCN’s official intimations, the Deputy Commissioner on her own volition as is evident from her actions transferred the grant to Khehoi camp. In this context the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur shall solely be held responsible for any consequences that may arise,” the note added.
