Dimapur, December 4 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang today said that an “investigation” in connection with the kidnapping of one KT Joseph on November 22 “at the behest of expelled kilonser Peter,” has been undertaken and “the members found culpable of the crime has been dishonorably terminated from the national service with immediate effect.”
The NSCN/GPRN issued a note today saying it is for the information of public “against the pronounced and absconding criminals and public co-operation likewise is being sought to apprehend and prosecute the offenders at large.”
“It is however a disappointment and disgrace on the part of IM group for welcoming the expelled criminals into its fold as in complete contradiction to it’s only two, three days old joint-declaration to stamp out crimes,” the NSCN/GPRN said.
According to the note, ‘providing refuge to absconding kidnappers rather than prosecuting the same is in fact no less a collaborator in the crime.’ “It may be recalled that, the so called ‘concordants’ issued public declaration to jointly curb crimes by their own members besides other related anti-social activities in the Naga society at large,” the group said.
Saying that “the Nagas” are once again “being reminded of sheer criminalization of the noble cause by unscrupulous sections that openly patronize and abet anti-social activities,” the note stated that the people can now judge “the true purpose and intent of such public spectacles being enacted by self acclaimed nationalists.”
To the Naga civil organizations, the factions stated – “The Naga civil societies who has so far been vocal and exaggeratedly excited in lauding anti-crime measures are also expected to intervene and prevent further perpetuation of crimes in the society, regardless of which ever group or factions the perpetrators belong.”
The note mentioned names stated to be the identities of the alleged kidnappers. “Mr. Peter, Maj. Samson, Lt. Hormi, Rajapeyu Tiarson, RCM. Andrew, RCM. Ayo, RCM. Rhabeitho, RCM. Lokho, RCM. Soul, Regional Chairman P Caiphas, Rajapeyu. Nathan, SO. Laison, Sgt. Maj. Ishmael and PS to Peter H. Vio,” the note listed.
