Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): Arguing all the workers of all Naga Political Groups (NPGs) settling down in Dimapur enjoys “free atmosphere,” the NSCN (R) today questioned the GPRN/NSCN for selective targeting and implied that such tactics might become a “liability” for peace.
In a press statement received here, the Secretary M.I.P. NSCN/ GPRN (Reformation) cited the “attacking” of its office in Padumphukhuri on December 1 and 2 as well as the arrest of its cadres allegedly by GPRN/NSCN on January 10.
NSCN (R) claimed that its cadres - Peshu C.C.M, Lieut. Col. Ganat and Lieut. Chumben - were arrested “without any reason” by GPRN/NSCN last night in Dimapur.
“Dimapur is not the kitchen or garden of some faction,” it said further noting that shooting and firing at fellow Nagas was ‘undesirable and unacceptable’ at this juncture and every Naga should raise up against such anti- Naga activities of GPRN/NSCN.
In this context, the MIP statement maintained that while Gen. Khole is a legendary leader in Naga political movement and can be remembered as a man of peace who always stressed for Naga unity and reconciliation; his ideology had been “murdered” and undermined by his own men.
“His ideology is at the verge of destruction once and for all by his own men” it claimed adding that it is great loss for the Nagas.
