Dimapur, March 20 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN of Angami region notes what it says are “reports” of “extortion bids by scrupulous anti-social elements claiming themselves to be national workers” and has advised that if any underground cadre “approaches you in the right perspective” you are to “cooperate” anyhow.
‘The NSCN/GPRN has reports of extortion bids by scrupulous anti-social elements claiming themselves to be national workers without having any proper authorization from the rightful authority, because of which the people are being harassed,’ said a note received here today from the ‘Angami region NSCN/GPRN.’ The note was appended by “CAO” Thepfusatuo Seyie and “dy. kilonser” Dr. P. Mor.
“In this connection, the Angami region authority would like to inform the general public that if any national worker approaches you in the right perspective, you are requested to cooperate. However, if any national worker is found threatening, intimidating, extorting or causing unwanted situation the same should be immediately reported to the region authority for necessary action. The note also requested “everyone to give priority to our collective issue” and “extend cooperation” towards finding an honourable settlement.
