NSCN/GPRN on Naga Reconciliation Meeting

DIMAPUR, MARCH 12 (MExN): A Joint Council Meeting was held on the 3rd March 2012 at Hebron to discuss the resolutions adopted in the mammoth Reconciliation meeting held on 29th February 2012 at Agri Expo Centre, Dimapur, stated a press note issued by the MIP. After a lengthy debate for three hours on the resolutions the house unanimously agreed that the resolutions “contained certain flaws and politically untenable points and that the house arrived at the following decisions in order to keep the records straight”.

Firstly the NSCN appreciated the tireless efforts of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for bringing “all the Naga political groups or factions into one fold.” However, it stated that the “NSCN deeply regret the way the FNR conducted the meeting”. Secondly, it said “NSCN placed on record that the platform was misused by certain vested interests and thirdly, “in order to salvage the interest and cause of the Nation, the NSCN cannot accept the resolutions in Toto”.
