Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (R) Pochury Region has expressed solidarity with the government on expulsion of the army chief Jackson Pochury on December 18 for his “anti social and anti national activities.”
Pochury Region in a press release issued by the MIP NSCN/GPRN (R) stated that Jackson’s expulsion has valid ground on which the authority acted to deliver justice to all as no one is above the nation. However, it regretted that Jackson Pochury betrayed the nation and failed to maintain his position as army chief which have brought “humiliation and shame” not only to the nation but also to Pochury tribe.
The Pochury Region expressed regret that the position of the army chief may not be possible for Pochury community even in future.
It asserted that “even in future it will stand by the decision of the government in regards to Jackson’s issue as he failed to comply with the demand of the government on return of arms.”
Meanwhile, the Pochury region has appealed to its community “not to be misconstrued the stance of the GPRN on Jackson’s issue as it has published its position loud and clear on December 18 and December 28 respectively.”
