Issued guidelines for general safety

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has installed fire extinguishers in all the buildings including the tribal Morungs in Kisama.
It has set up Disaster Management Desk, nearby Zeliang Morung at the ongoing Hornbill Festival at Kisama
The NSDMA have issued guidelines for general safety during mass gathering and events.
These guidelines are designed to help citizens stay safe and contribute to smooth and secure event experiences.
The NSDMA asked the people to follow Do’s and Don’ts to ensure everyone’s safety.
It encouraged the people to plan their movement and know the venue layout, follow event staff and security instruction at all times, keep an eye on children, elderly and companions, report suspicious objects or behaviour immediately, stay calm and move slowly in crowded areas, use designated entry and exit routes only and be patient during entry or exit checks.
The NSDMA advised the people to avoid standing near barricades or exit gate for long, avoid spreading rumours or misinformation, do not rush, push or create panic, never ignore announcements or warnings from officials, don’t block emergency routes or pathways, avoid bringing large bags or prohibited items, do not climb structures, barriers or fences.
In case of emergencies, Dial 112 (Emergency Response Support System) or dial 1070 (State Emergency Operations Centre).
