NSF condemns Dec 31 incident in Kakching

KOHIMA, JANUARY 3 (MExN):  The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has condemned the recent act of snatching of a vehicle at gun point by 3 person alleged to be members of Arambai Tengol on December 31 around 11 AM at Kakching district in Manipur.

According to a press statement issued by the Federation, the incident involved the 3 person forcibly taking possession of a vehicle at gun point from its owner, who happened to be the president of Lamkang Students’ Union under Chandel district.

While stressing on the importance of maintaining safe and secure environment for all residents, the Federation said this incident serves as a stark need for increased vigilance and collaborative efforts to combat such heinous acts.

Towards this, the Federation has urged the law enforcement agencies to expedite the case and employ all available resources to identify and apprehend the perpetrators swiftly. It also encouraged community members to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.

“The federation remains steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe environment where everyone can live, work and thrive without fear,” it added.
