BANGALORE, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangalore Baptist Hospital (BBH) to provide affordable healthcare services for Nagas residing in the city.

Under the agreement, Nagas in Bengaluru will receive concessions of up to 30 per cent on inpatient, outpatient and other healthcare services at BBH. Those from special or economically challenged backgrounds will be considered for higher concessions.

The MoU was signed between Dr Spurgeon R, Director and CEO of BBH, and Nungsangmongla Ozukum, President of NSUB, in the presence of BBH officials and representatives of the Naga community.

NSUB expressed appreciation to Onenlemla Imsong, Chaplain at BBH, whose efforts in supporting economically challenged patients helped pave the way for the partnership. The Union also acknowledged the leadership of its president, Nungsangmongla Ozukum, in achieving this milestone.

NSUB leaders said the collaboration was not merely about discounts but a “lifeline” for many Nagas in the city struggling to access affordable, quality healthcare. The Union urged the community to make use of the services offered under the MoU.

With this agreement, NSUB reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of Nagas living outside the state and to strengthening unity and care among the diaspora.
