Delhi, January 27 (MExN): Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD) conducted a mass poster campaign on January 27 at the heart of the national capital, Connaught Place, to push the Government of India to expedite the ongoing Indo-Naga peace process and bring it to a logical conclusion. Herangia Zeliang, NSUD president in his address stated, “It is high time that the Nagas should know what we actually want and what is needed to be done. Nagas should strive for one common goal, for which unity is the need of the hour.” After a deliberation, NSUD resolved to conduct this campaign understanding the fact that Nagas have every right to self determination, he added. Pointing out that the Indo-Naga talk has been going on for the past 21 years with various stakeholders on board and with immense support from Naga civil organisations, he asserted, “it is high time that the Naga political parties come together leaving aside their political interest and strive for the people's greater interest.” Hundreds of concerned Naga citizens from all walks of life flocked to the streets of Connaught Place to extend their support for the Naga solution and not election, according to a press release from NSUD. NSUD also acknowledged the various Naga civil organisations for extending their support towards the cause of early solution.
