Dimapur, June 15 (MExN): The authorities of Nagaland University have apologized for the errors and incorrect undergraduate results the institution declared recently, college principals state today. The Nagaland College Principals’ Forum said today that the Vice Chancellor, Controller of Examinations and Deputy Registrar of Nagaland University have ‘apologized and accepted responsibility.’
The forum met with the Vice Chancellor, Controller of Examinations and Deputy Registrar of Nagaland University on June 14 at Hotel Japfu to discuss the recently declared NU degree results for 2012 and issues concerning the semester system.
“After a lengthy deliberation, the Nagaland University officials apologized and accepted responsibility for the errors and incorrect declaration of the Undergraduate results,” the forum stated in a press release received here today.
The press release was appended by president Dr. PS Lorin and general secretary Dr. Vituo Belho.
Also, the forum informed that the college principals “resolved not to cooperate with Nagaland University where MindLogicx Infratec Ltd is the primary executor for exams and related tasks.”
On the semester system, the forum said to have decided that any issues relating to guidelines, syllabus and workload that were suggested by teachers and principals during workshops and orientation programmes conducted earlier by NU “should be incorporated and communicated to the Colleges by Nagaland University before the commencement of the semester system in July 2012.”
The principals agreed that in spite of the difficulties that plague the university and its stakeholders, cooperation is required from all quarters for development. NGOs, students, college principals and university officials should work together to strengthen the university, the forum said.
