Kohima, April 22 (MExN): Nagaland University organised a seminar titled Startup Sprint: Think Big and Build Fast at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology, Kohima Campus, on April 22.
Organised by the NU Technocrats Club of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, the seminar aimed to inspire students and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore startup opportunities and better understand the evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem. Around 40 participants from various departments attended the programme.
The event was chaired by Afreena Ali. In the inaugural address, the Dean of the School of Engineering & Technology highlighted the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship and nurturing startup culture among students.
The first technical session featured Abhisek Mishra, who spoke on startup opportunities and government support linked to Software Technology Parks of India, outlining initiatives and assistance available for emerging ventures.
This was followed by a talk by Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi on growth and branding tactics for startups and entrepreneurs, where he discussed strategies for scaling new ventures and building market identity.
Santosh Thota later addressed participants on building startups in the AI era, focusing on the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern entrepreneurship.
Another session was delivered by Chenlep Yakha Konyak, co-founder of NagaConnect, who spoke on local entrepreneurship and generating employment opportunities in Nagaland.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Ramesh Singh, who thanked the speakers, organisers, participants and Nagaland University for supporting the event, infoeed a press release from the SET_NU.
