Minister for PWD (National Highway) Nuklutoshi today made a clarification on a remark made by him during the recent CEC meeting of the NPF in Kohima.
On Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) and ACAUT, he clarified that he missed out in uttering both the organizations are very active and powerful bodies.
Addressing a press a press conference in his official residence, the minister said he wanted the Naga civil societies to be more active and since the ACAUT and MTLT are very active, and therefore they are to be appreciated and supported but the inactive and non-performing civil societies should be derecognized.
Further, he said that Governor is the guardian of the law and “I did not mean that I am against the Governor for checking corruption.”
He is going to villages and trying to find out the grievances, but there is a protocol in his movement and because of that only I have said, otherwise I am not against him. I want him to be the best Governor, he said. If he is checking against corruption, I am not against it, he added.
