DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) has questioned the Government of Nagaland, particularly the recruitment terms and conditions issued by the Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare and termed it to be deemed fit for cancellation.
The NVCO, in a press release, said that “there are many loopholes in the given terms and conditions as well as not within the purview of the department to conduct the recruitment especially the posts of gazette class-1 officer.”
NVCO President Kezhokhoto Savi raised strong objection for not mentioning the criteria ‘meant for indigenous inhabitants only’ within the terms and conditions of recruitment especially for the posts of technicians and staff nurse (permanent posts).
“The department must learn that these posts are only meant for Naga indigenous inhabitants as it is not a centrally sponsored/central department posts,” the NVCO said and raised strong objection for the “conduct of gazette class-1 officer post which is outside the purview of the department.”
It said that if the State Government is going to allow such recruitment then “what is the use of having Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).” The department must not take advantage of the situation and again commit blunder, the NVCO cautioned.
It meanwhile questioned whether it is fair to allow age relaxation upto 45 years of age, to consider 2 marks for each year of experience in a fresh open recruitment process, and to consider maximum marks from university marks etc.
The NVCO asked the department “not to play with recruitment in this manner as it is going to spoil the career of many qualified Naga candidates especially the junior ones who are likely going to do better in the fair process of recruitment.”
