‘One Government One Taxation’

Chümoukedima Town’s apex bodies reiterate resolution

Chümoukedima, August 29 (MExN): The three apex bodies of Chümoukedima Town, namely Chümoukedima Town Women’s Organization (CTWO), Chümoukedima Town Youth Organization (CTYO) and Chümoukedima Town Students Union (CTSU) today reiterated their support on the declaration ‘One Government One Taxation.”

We would like to remind that on February 13, 2014, the citizens of Chümoukedima unanimously resolved that they will not tolerate multiple taxations and will only pay tax to one entity, read a joint statement issued by the three bodies.

“Our resolution stands true till date,” the statement affirmed.

However, it noted that the CTWO, CTYO and CTSU have observed that “random elements have started to emerge again to collect tax recently, causing hardships to business community and general public of Chümoukedima Town.”

“We urge the Naga political groups to do away with multiple taxations, and work together as one for one common cause,” added the statement issued by  CTWO, President, Dievilhoutuonuo Thakro; CTYO President, Hovise Naleo; and  CTSU President, Kezhawelie Richa.
