Speaking on the topic, ‘Social Unity and Oneness’, Dr Zavise Rume, Director, International University on Saturday asserted that, “If there is love among the people, oneness is inevitable and unavoidable.” He was addressing the 35th General Session of the Razeba Public Organisation at Tsupfume Council Hall, on April 11.
He urged the people of Razeba comprising three other villages including Zhavame, Zelome and Tsupfume to practice the language of love while impressing upon that this would bring ‘oneness’ among the people. “It is very easy to be one if you love one another”, he underlined while citing instances of love in various circumstances.
He further called upon the gathering to live without judging each other while quoting Mother Teresa who said, “when you judge others, you do not have time to love them.” He also dwelt on the importance of one’s language and stated that, “the best and the most melodious music is our language.”
Reiterating on the need to practice love and gratefulness in order to achieve oneness in the society, he said, “live with gratefulness, and practice love every day.”
Kekhwengulo Lea, President, Tenyimia Union Nagaland was the resource person for the afternoon session. He spoke on the topic, “Efficient enrollment of census for delimitation.”
In his presidential address, Deo Movi thanked the people of Razeba for their continued support and cooperation towards the several initiatives undertaken during his tenure for the upliftment of Razeba.
However, he also shared that there are still several pressing issues that needs to be addressed while particularly citing the need for inclusion of Poula language spoken by the people of Razeba area in the school curriculum. “Without our language, we would lose our identity”, he said. He further exuded hope and confidence on the new team of RPO that would continue to work for the welfare of Razeba.
During the general sessiom, the Razeba Public Organisation also felicitated two women from the area for their achievements in their respective fields. These include Vishü Rita Krocha in the field of literature and journalism, who was awarded Governor’s Award for distinction in literature, 2025 and was also recently elected president of Kohima Press Club, and Rovine Domeh in the field of sports (archery), who along with her teammates recently secured a silver medal in the women’s compound team event at the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 in Chhattisgarh.
Highlights of the event included invocation by Deo Lea, Pastor, Tsupfume Baptist Church, welcome note by Wepretsü Lea, Chairman of Tsupfume Village Council, folk tune by Zelome Women Society, special number by Asü Krocha, general secretary’s report by Dapulu Lea, treasurer’s report by Abino Zholia, declaration of new office bearers by the nomination committee, act of blessing by Mosa Nukhu, Pastore, Zhavame Baptist Church, vote of thanks by N. Francis Dukru and benediction by Rakongaolu Zholia, Catechist, Lady of our Lourdes Catholic Church, Zelome.
