The state’s department of information technology & communication in collaboration with the home department and the state NIC has developed the online Inner Line Permit (ILP) system. The objective of the online ILP project is to improve the availability and delivery of services. The application will also enable monitoring permits issued, according to the annual administrative report of the department of information technology & communication. The online ILP services is currently available in the DC offices of Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung and Mon, the Resident Commissioner Offices of Shillong, Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi. The reported added that the ILP application is hosted in the Nagaland State Data Centre at http://www.ilp.nic.in
