Open Appeal on Compassionate Empathy

To

The RN Ravi,

Governor of Nagaland

Raj Bhavan, Kohima

Dear Governor,

As a Citizen of Nagaland, India I am writing to honourable to intervene in a serious socio- economic crisis. I feel sad, frustrated and stressed due to folly of our Chief Minister who is in mute mode to such extraordinary unprecedented crisis appeals. Whereas on the other hand even a small village girl from Namana, a student of the Moorarji Desai Residential School in Mudigere's Bidarahalli not only gets personal reply from our Honourable Prime Minister Office but the whole district adminstration, MLAs, MP are put to work. Depressingly given the situation that call of quick response with solution and timely action to various such distress core sector appeals at this pandemic hour.

As such even after appealing through various news papers for 3 times 1st The Morung Express has published the article on May 22, 2020 issue. Kindly find the link http://morungexpress.com/appeal-to-chief-minister-nagaland. 2nd The Nagaland Page has published the Appeal on May 23, 2020. 3rd The Nagaland Post has published on May 25, 2020. Till today there has been not even a single word from our inefficient Chief Minister. Though the government have been announcing their readiness to the challenges of the pandemic Covid 19.

May I draw your kind attention as I code, Twesh Mishra. New Delhi. Published on March 28,2020, Updated on March 29,2020. The order will be in effect till June 30, 2020. The ministry of power has relaxed the payment security mechanism to be ensured by power distribution companies (Discoms), This has been done to give support to discos that are finding it difficult to collect payments for bills raised on consumers in light of the coronavirus lockdown.

“Considering the unprecedented and force majeure situation, it has been decided that power may be scheduled even if payment security mechanism is established for 50 percent of the amount for which payment security mechanism is to be in effect till June 30, 2020, We will also request States not to charge late payment surcharge on end consumers who are not able to pay bills timely because of the covid-19 lockdowns,” Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New and Renewable Energy RK Sing said. end code.

We may not be as near to self sufficient in the concern field as New Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra but we can learn and follow their humanitarian act of Kindness whose CMs have ordered deferment of Electricity and water bills over and above that some of them have given certain percentage of discount in the electricity bill.

Sir, as you are aware of continuous several time nationwide lockdown payment of electricity bill is not only an issue with the citizen residents but also with the daily wage labours, people living on rent, small traders whose businesses are shut with  temporarily out of work and business yet to restart where almost everyone is experiencing financial difficulty. Due to the financial hardship and in order to meet necessary household expenses plus school fees and other unseen pressing expenses, I am appealing for the electricity bill as this is one of the core sector for all the other sectors such as both private and government in Health, agriculture, various MSME business, education, Hotels, etc… That;

1.     To defer the payment of inflated electricity bills till June 30,2020.

2.     Not to charge late fee surcharge.

3. To accept a reduced/ part  payment for the next (6) months.

I would request Your Honour to immediately intervene in the matter, on humanitarian ground. I appreciate your contribution and your work for the people of Nagaland.

Yours Sincerely,
Imli Longchar
