•-Through your esteemed daily, we the undersigned would like to express a few of our concerns and grievances to the commissioner and Secretary, School Education and ATAN Executives concerning the recent declaration of result in the department of school education.
At the outset, we extend our sincere gratitude to the DAN government for taking a bold decision to reinstate the genuinely qualified teachers. We also extend our gratitude to the Commissioner and Secretary, School Education and the ATAN Executives for their tireless effort during those tumultuous days of ours when we forced to survive without salary for more than two years.
Having expressed our appreciation, may we point out some anomalies detected in the recent declaration of results, such as, repetition of same person’s name posted in different schools, wrong entry of names (spelling mistakes) and posting place where there is no school. If these are typographical errors, is the department aware of those mistakes? Are the ATAN executives doing some homework about these errors? Maybe both the parties are working to correct the errors. If so, we pray that the good Lord would guide you do the work meticulously. Otherwise, you remain answerable to the public. So far there has been no comment either from the department or from the ATAN executives concerning these mistakes.
We the undersigned belong to the absentee category who have missed the SIT investigation. We could not present ourselves for the SIT investigation for many reasons. Some because of bereavement case in the family, others because of medical case and some wives because of child labor and so on. However, when the department graciously gave us a chance yet again for investigation, we made ourselves available both at the District Level Investigation headed by the Deputy Commissioners and at the Departmental Level Inquiry. As such, we cannot be called or labeled as “ABSENTEE”. Our names neither did appear in the termination list nor in the retention and regularization list. So our question is, what happens to our case? When we raised this issue at the ATAN general meeting held at ISBT, the Executives informed us that the files of those who underwent the DVC inquiry are along with the “alleged bogus” file. The ATAN executives should give us the response immediately for we have sincerely dedicated ourselves to the cause of ATAN since the beginning. We have heard also from our source that some of our names did not appear in either of the lists because the Secretariat has lost our names and files. If this is the case, the department needs to answer us. May we request both the Department of School Education and the ATAN Executives to kindly clarify some of our doubts expressed above. Thanking you all.
