Open letter to enpo/ensf/engoa

Through this column the undersigned on behalf of Pungro Area Public would like to bring forward our grievances to the ENPO for immediate clarification sought. That Sir, in pursuance to the undertakings (ceasefire) signed between YTC and TTC on 08/01/07 with the initiative of ENPO/ENSF/ENGOA at Shamator town, the YTC with a good faith have withdrawn all Yimchunger public from Kiusam Area with immediate effect. But to our utter surprised the public of Bokphur Village along with the Limitsong Cadres damaged the drinking water source of Longtsonger Village on 22/01/2007, followed with heavy gun shots and war cries. Accordingly, the Longtsonger Village council lodged a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire to book the culprits. But no initiatives have been taken by the authority.

Secondly, on 27th Jan.2007, when the honourable MLA Shri. Heno along with President ENSF, SDO(C)Pungro with elders of Thonoknyu Area visited Kiusam Town to assess the prevalent situation, but on the same evening, the Limitsong cadres and Public of Kiusam Area burnt three unharvest millet huts and thirteen other huts of Longtsonger Villagers, on which the Longtsonger Village Council have reported in written to the SDO (Civil), Pungro. Thirdly, on 28th Jan.2007, the relief items/goods which is unknown was sent by the DC Tuensang, meant for Kiusam Town in a 3rd NAP mini truck bearing No.NPC-W-60. and dispatch on the same day. However, on the subsequent night (29/01/07) the Limitsong Cadres and Kiusam Area Publics attacked Longtsonger village at 7:12 pm with sophisticated weapons.

Therefore, the afore mentioned incidents is a direct violation of the agreed undertakings of the YTC and TTC. But, so far, our Yimchunger public of Pungro Area have not retaliated their illogical activities and our patience should not be taken for granted. Hence, the public of Pungro Area would like to know whether the ceasefire agreement between the said parties is in force or have been abrogated? The concerned mediators (ENPO/ENSF/ENGOA) should clarify at the earliest or we will be compelled to take our own course of actions as retaliation.
