Through the esteemed paper, I on behalf of the valued customers of SBI Kohima while appreciating the good services given to the people of Nagaland, would also like to draw the attention of the authority. What the public wants to bring to your notices with suggestions are as follows:
1. After computerization the speed of work/transaction became slower and slower. Customers are standing in queue for a very long time; say sometimes up to ¾ hours. Waiting for an hour in queue has become a regular feature. I want to suggest you to open more payment/receipt counters in the interest of the public.
2. Every counter is written SWO. We do not know the abbreviation of it. The other day someone asked me the abbreviation, and then I said to him “SWO stands for Slowly Working Office”. Then he appreciated me saying that is exactly matching with the present working system in the Bank. Every time, people coming to Bank frequently asked where is the payment counter, draft counter…etc. my suggestion is that for the common people/public it is better to write such as payment counter, receipt counter, draft counter, teller counter, recurring deposit counter, term deposit counter, senior citizens counter etc.
3. It may not be my personal right to say, but Bank being a public service giving office, I want to say that there is no public toilet in the bank. Public have no free access to your staff toilet. Therefore, public toilet is greatly needed. Besides, due to non-availability of dust-bin inside the bank, people are using the ‘Insurance Point Stand’ as dust-bin, putting waste papers and spitting on it.
I hope that everything goes well in the future.
