Organisations extend support to NFHRCC ultimatum

Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): Several organisations on Sunday registered support towards the 30-day ultimatum served on the state government by the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC).

In a press release, the Chang Union Dimapur (CUD) and Chang Students' Union Dimapur (CSUD) expressed dismay over the government’s perceived ‘neglect and delaying tactics’ with regard to the Foothill Road project and affirmed their support towards any actions initiated by the NFHRCC.

Similarly, the frontal organisations of the Khiamniungans - Khiamniungan Union Dimapur, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam Dimapur, Khiamniungan Students' Union Dimapur also extended its support towards the ultimatum. 

Stating that roads are an essential and basic requirement for any developmental activities to happen, the organisations requested the concerned authority to take note of the people's demand. Expedite the works for early completion of the project so as to avoid any untoward incident which may occur owing to their failure in responding to the demand of the people, it added.
