A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Oriental College Kohima, and Nune’s Construction, Vision Trinity Club and Kekhrie Krotho, Kohima to foster sustainable collaboration, provide opportunity for broader experience, and to facilitate advancement of knowledge and skills on the basis of reciprocity, best effort, mutual benefit, and frequent interactions to enhance the quality of co-curricular activities in education.

The MoU underlined facilitating internship for students to get hands on experience, especially with respect to event management skills, office assistance and entrepreneurial skills etc.

Both the parties can co-organize events of activities sharing on themes of mutual interest for the larger benefit of students, professionals and the society as a whole in the domain of arts, culture, sports and allied fields, the MoU stated.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Watinaro Longkumer, Principal, Oriental College and Nunese Sale, CEO of Nune’s Construction, Chairman DCCTI, Chief Event Manager of Kekhrie Krotho and President of Vision Trinity Club.

Oriental College Kohima is private institution established in 1996 by a group of enthusiastic and energetic individuals under the auspices of the Christian Youth Organization of Christian Revival Church, Kohima Village. The Christian Youth Organization is registered under the Registration of Societies Act, 1969, and numbered as H/Rs-4958 dated 25th January 2008. The University Grants Commission has granted recognition to the college under section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956 on 7th July 2011.

Kekhrie Krotho is an organization based in Kohima, formed in 2018 with the motive of preserving the rich culture and unique music of the Nagas.

Vision Trinity Club based in Kohima is a non-governmental organization whose work largely focuses on charity, entrepreneurship and event management to promote talents, uplift the underprivileged and provide platform for organizations to shine.

Nuene’s Construction is a class I contractor firm registered under the Nagaland Contractor Supplier Union. Established in 2018, the company is committed to empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering growth in the field of construction.
