Zunheboto, September 17 (MExN): One day orientation training on KAYAKALP was held on September 12 at CMO office, Zunheboto.
Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office, Zunheboto in a press release said that Dr. CW Tungoe, CMO, Zunheboto in his welcome address said Kayakalp is an initiative to promote cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices in public health care facilities and appraised that facilities that show exemplanary performance meeting standard protocols will receive award and commendation.
Dr. Thungchanbeni S Patton, DPM-QA, the resource person spoke about the objectives of Kayakalp and its key features of award schemes and process. She also stress on the assessment protocols, methods and scoring rules. Dr. Patton emphasized on the thematic area about hospital and facility upkeep and about the sanitation and hygiene, waste management and infection control. In the second session, the resource person spoke about the hospital support services, hygiene promotion and beyond hospital boundary. The session ended with a group discussion.
