Mokokchung, June 29 (DIPR): For the first time in Government hospitals in Nagaland, Oral Substitution Therapy (OST) a programme for treating Intravenous Drug Users (IDUs) was officially launched at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung on June 29.
Incharge for HIV/TB/OST in Nagaland, Dr. Rosei after officially launching the programme urged the clients (IDUs), members from different NGOs and medical officials of OST programme to take it as a challenge saying that implementation of the programme is important where co-operation from every corner, especially the clients is needed for the successes of the programme.
During interactions, Deputy CMO, Mokokchung, Dr. Akaba also mentioned that clients should sacrifice with determination so as to free themselves from the clutches of drug abuse and together to make our society a drug abuse free society and build a better tomorrow for the benefit of posterity. Dr. Temsu and Dr. Asangla will be the Nodal Officers and incharge of the OST programme in Mokokchung.
