Nagaland Dy CM extents financial assistance
Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): Six injured victims related to the Oting incident on December 5 in Mon district are presently undergoing treatment at CISHR (Referral) Hospital and Faith Hospital Dimapur. Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, also incharge of Home, Y Patton visited all the victims on December 8 and extended financial assistance.
“You are undergoing tumultuous pain and sufferings for no fault of yours and it pains my heart,” Patton said to the victims while encouraging the victims and the family members to be bold, wished them speedy recovery.
According to a DIPR report, the injured victims in CISHR are Phojem Konyak (35) admitted in ICU for severe open fracture of right femur (thigh bone). The doctor attending him said that the patient has to be monitored closely to see that no further bleeding occurs.
M Tingtei (31) admitted in the private ward suffered multiple injuries with a number of sharpnels lodged in the shoulder, back and internal injury in his chest.
Atem (29) in the private ward was shot at the back where the doctors said that they have already removed one bullet. The other bullet is stuck very deep in the spine and removing it might cause more complications, the doctors observed. The condition of other victim Manglei (47) also in the private ward who suffered injury on the left thigh, is now reported to be in stable condition.
Baujoi Phom (38) from 11 IR, who suffered bullet injury in the right hand, is in stable condition. Temjun Konyak, (41) admitted at Faith Hospital, suffered pelvic fracture. Doctors informed that two foreign bodies are lodged in his pelvic area, for which he will be undergoing surgery after various test and CD scans.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Commissioner Police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo IPS, and other police officers, EAC Chümoukedima, Village Council members and others.
