Free health camp was organised in Chümoukedima by Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Arogo (CABA) and Ao Senso Telongjem Chümoukedima on August 21
Chümoukedima, August 21 (MExN): In a commendable initiative to mark World Senior Citizens Day, a free health camp was organised in Chümoukedima on August 21, providing medical care to over 220 senior citizens.
The camp, held at the premises of the Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Arogo (CABA), was jointly organised by the Ao Senso Telongjem Chümoukedima (ASTC) and the church.
A team of doctors offered specialised check-ups for ailments related to bones and joints, eyes, dental issues, and general medicine. All patients received free treatment and medicines by the doctors.
The medical team was led by Dr Asonla Aying Chang, Dr Noktang Jamir, Dr Esterlane Imchen, Dr. Imlikokla Longkumer, and Dr Zavi Shuya. They were assisted by a team of experienced nurses and assistants.
Of the senior citizens treated, 70 received eye check-ups, 54 were treated for bone and joint issues, 32 received dental care, and 64 underwent general health check-ups.
