
Kohima, September 29 (MExN): The dedicated registration portal opened for the recruitment of 1176 Constable (General Duty) in the Nagaland Police has received over 3,000 applications barely 24 hours after it opened on October 6.
Applications are open online from October 6 (12 noon) to November 7 (3 pm) only through Nagaland Police Registration portal (https://nagalandpolicerecruitment.in/), as per an advertisement issued by the Nagaland Police earlier.
In an update on its official Facebook account, the Nagaland Police informed that a total of 3028 applicants had registered on the portal. The post was timestamped at 5:17 pm on October 7, around 29 hours and few minutes after the official opening of the registration.
As per the update, out of those, 2,316 applicants have successfully completed the registration process.
At around 6 pm on Monday, the first day, another update by the State Police showed 1110 registrations.
As per the advertisement issued by the Office of the Director General of Police dated September 30, the recruitment for the posts will be held through open rallies, which will be conducted simultaneously in all district headquarters by the Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and authorised District Screening Committees (DSC).
Thereafter, a written test will be conducted for candidates declared medically fit and clearing the PET (Physical Efficiency Test).
Based on the written test and PET results, a merit list will be drawn, and candidates will be called for a final interview at the ratio of 1:3 (one post, three persons).
Applications can be submitted only through the Nagaland Police Registration Portal with a non-refundable examination fee of ₹300.
Application forms will not be issued from Police Headquarters or any of the Offices of the Commissioner of Police/Superintendents of Police, the State Police had stressed.
The age criterion for eligibility is 18–38 years as of the date of the advertisement, with concessions for serving government employees as per government orders.
The minimum educational qualification is Class 6 passed for Backward Tribes and Class 8 passed for other Indigenous Naga Tribes.
