DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education’s (NBSE) HSSLC examination and Class XI Promotion Examination will commence from February 13, while the HSLC Examination will begin February 14.


In the HSSLC examination, a total of 15,461 candidates will be appearing from 53 provisional examination centers. Out of 15,461 candidates, 8,117 are girls and 7,344 are boys. They include 11,599 arts students, 1,337 Commerce students and 2,525 Science students. 


A total of 17,846 students will also be appearing for the Class XI promotion examination from 173 institutions.
In HSLC Examination, there are 22,393 candidates out of which, 10,444 are boys and 11,949 are girls. They will be appearing for the examination from 80 provisional examination centers and 2 sub centers. 679 schools are presenting 19417 regular candidates for the HSLC examination while 2,971 candidates are repeaters. 4 students are appearing again to improve their result and there is 1 (one) case of change of centre. Dimapur district has the highest enrolment with 7,245 candidates in the HSLC exam followed by Kohima district with 3,715 candidates.
The notice further informed that the board had a meeting with the Centre Superintendents at the NBSE on January 31, where they were briefed on the rules and regulations for smooth conduct of examinations.


Candidates have been requested to read the question paper carefully before they start to write the answers. Answers to the questions should be written keeping in mind the marks allotted to it. Candidates are allowed to bring only the materials that are permitted in the examination hall such as pen, pencil, scale, eraser, sharpener and geometry instruments. Students are also reminded to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations, while they have been advised to reach the examination centre in time by moving out from home early.


The NBSE meanwhile directed schools which have not sent their internal grades to mail it within the month.
