DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) conducted spot verification at District Hospital Dimapur on July 21.
The Chairman of PAC and Advisor for Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan along with team members Dr Neisatuo Metro, MLA; Y Mankhao Konyak, MLA; and Lima Onen Chang, MLA inspected the facilities, medical equipments and all health units in the hospital
Briefing media personnel on their visit, Mhathung yanthan stated that the committee's visit was to physically examine the performance and also the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) 2018- 19 performance audit. He said there were some issues which need to be addressed and some recommendations were made with the report which would be taken up with the concerned department.
He meanwhile congratulated the medical management and all health service providers for handling the situation well with their best efforts despite the many challenges and working under pressure as Dimapur is a metropolitan city with several patients. He encouraged all the medical staff to continuously give their best, keeping in mind the importance of health services.
