DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) in a meeting held on December 20 discussed on the prevailing issues in the society and resolved on the following issues.
In connection to the Sangtamtilla arson that took place on December 10, 2018, PAC condemned the act of the NSCN (Unification) cadres for deliberately “violating the PAC bandh called to convey the message that the public do not want illegal activities and high handedness of Naga Political Groups.”
A press release issued by PAC Media Cell alleged that the “cadres who claim to be Naga nationalists instead of performing their assigned duties was involved in land grabbing for self interests and physically assaulted women and children of the village.” It requested the police to arrest the perpetrators and punish them as per the law of the land. PAC further demanded the NSCN (U) authority to take disciplinary action and declare the same publicly.
In connection to the shooting incident at Riven Honda, the investigation agency has till date not been able to nab the culprits, the PAC stated. It has therefore issue a deadline of January 20, 2019 to arrest the culprits and to award punishment thereof, failing which the PAC shall decide future course of action deemed fit.
In connection to Diphupar Police Station case DPR No.53/18 registered on 2.8.18 wherein NSCN (IM) Unified Command Zone 1 and NSCN (U) were allegedly involved in the looting of Rs 6,00,000 (six lakh) and subsequent ransom of Rs. 6,00,000(six lakh) on Wilson Kenye and group, the PAC “condemned this act of mafiadom by the NPGs.”
It demanded both the organisation cadres involved to repay the total sum of Rs 12, 00,000 (twelve lakh) through PAC-NCD on or before January 20, 2019 failing which the “public shall declare non-cooperation to these groups.”
