Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): With an aim to explore the talents of adolescents and to encourage them the District Health Society, Mokokchung organized an inter school painting competition on November 12 on the theme ‘Adolescent- a Fragile Beauty’ at IDSP conference hall IMDH, Mokokchung.
A press note stated that the competition was participated by 10 (ten) students from five schools of different blocks including Children School, Edith Douglas Hr. Sec School, Don Bosco Tuli, Green River valley School Changtongya town and Baptist Hr. Sec School Mangkolemba
The competition was adjudged on categories including relevance to the theme, best use of colour and the over all dexterity.
The first prize was bagged by Imotoshi of Edith Douglas Hr.sec School with cash prize of Rs.2000, the second prize was bagged by Imlisenla of Green River Valley School Changtongya town with cash prize of Rs.1500 and third prize was bagged by Arinoba of Edith Douglas Hr. Sec School with cash prize of Rs.1000.
Prior to the competition a team led by Dr. Kilang, Dr. Wapang, Lipoktemsu DMEIO and Olemla Media Officer visited five schools, sensitizing the students on various health issues related to Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health.
